This series of photos show a small back garden we constructed in Ipswich. The photos show different stages of the project to give an idea of what is involved in the construction of a small garden.
The garden was typical of a new build house, lawn fence to fence with a small paved area lacking design and individuality.
At this stage of the build the retaining wall has been constructed and the edging bricks for the lawn and gravel areas have been laid.
The brick edging for the lawn and gravel areas have now been completed, the sandstone paving has been laid and the wooden structures to the rear of the garden have been erected.
The garden roughly a year after completion. There is a low maintenance gravel area with a few individual plants and shrubs. A monolith water feature is a focal point easily viewed from the garden and conservatory. At the rear of the garden is a large bed containing a selection of shrubs and perennials suitable for this garden. There is a lawn area which is large enough to be used in the summer months but is in proportion to the rest of the garden. A sandstone patio next to the lawn area provides an area for garden furniture and entertaining.
