13 Nov Holland Landscapes shortlisted for APL Awards in two categories
Holland Landscapes were delighted this week to be shortlisted for the Association of Professional Landscapers Awards 2017, in the “Project value of £20,000-£30,000” and “Hard Landscaping sponsored by Bradstone” categories.
The APL, which is a specialist group of the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) represents landscapers who have met rigorous prescribed professional standards. The Awards recognise the high standard of landscape contracting carried out by APL members, so to be acknowledged in this way is particularly pleasing and a great way to showcase our work.
Designed by Karen Chamberlain Garden Design, for a small family home in Colchester, the project is a contemporary style two storey construction. The landscaping comprised black basalt paving, rendered retaining walls, bespoke galvanised elephant tread steps, bespoke galvanised and powder coated railings, remote controlled lighting, drainage, planting bed construction and all soft landscaping. It is the quality of the hard landscaping and detailing that has made this project exceptional and enabled it to be nominated.
Limited access to the site and continued wet weather presented Holland Landscapes with a challenging environment to work in. Despite this construction was completed in a timely manner and on budget.
The Awards winners will be announced in March next year.
