APL member Holland Landscapes celebrate record year

Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) member Holland Landscapes, have been celebrating after what has been an extremely successful 2011.

The Colchester based company, whose work consists of hard and soft landscaping in the domestic sector, has been bucking the recent economic trend and experiencing substantial growth in their turnover this year, despite the current downturn. Sales at Holland Landscapes have risen by 20 per cent compared to last year, which saw them take on extra members of staff to help carry out the work.

They started 2011 with a bang by being announced as the supreme winner of the APL Awards which took place in March last year. This resulted in great publicity within the local area lead to extra client enquiries as word of mouth spread.

Later on in the year Holland Landscapes launched a fabulous new web site for their work (www.hollandscapes.co.uk) and overhauling their company branding to give Holland Landscapes a fresh new identity.

Since then Holland Landscapes has gone from strength to strength in what has been seen as tough times in the industry. Paul Baker, partner of the company has credited their success to being a member of the APL and the Government’s Trustmark scheme.  Paul was also elected as a member onto the APL Committee which is comprised of a number of expert landscapers dedicated to enhancing gardens and open spaces.

Paul said:  “Winning the Supreme Award was the highlight and proudest achievement of Holland Landscapes last year as it represents the high standards that we have achieved in quality landscaping.  The company’s rebranding also represents where we want the company to be in a few years time and reflects the evolution of our business.”

The New Year promises to bring more excitement for the Essex based firm as the landscaping company gears up for what promises to be an exciting but challenging 2012.
